The Battell Trail
We started this photo session at the shelter about a half mile from the summit. The weather was in the teens with a light snow. This is Erika's first snowshoe adventure!
The tunnel through the trees goes to the tenting area.

As we hiked toward the summit the trees became like canyon walls.
There was no place to go but up or down!
