I found this hike at localhikes.com prior to visiting California. The Corral Canyon road is off from US 1 in Malibou. The ride up the canyon road is breathtaking.

Local Hikes recommends the hike start in a clockwise loop.We were automatically drawn to the counterclockwise by the rock formations.
In a short distance there are views of the Pacific Ocean.

All around there is evidence that this was ocean bottom at one time.
Looking east at the Sierra Nevada's we could see snow.

The road to the top was very winding. This picture gives you an idea.
Here is a village we drove through on the way up. It is perched on the side of these steep canyon walls. The Pacific Ocean and islands are off in the distance.

View down the trail towards the southwest.
More interesting rock formations

This is a look down the Castro Motorway which is a fireroad that follows the ridge line.
